SOHOWireless Overview

SOHO Wireless was founded in May 1, 1999. The Company launched its first 802.11- based high-speed wireless data network in downtown San Jose, CA, in the same timeframe. This was followed by a very important network deployment in downtown Palo Alto in November 1999 and then in Los Gatos in January 2000. The Company is a spin-off of Network Systems Technologies ("NST"), which was previously in the business of deploying high-speed wireless networks. NST has been in the broadband wireless data business since 1996 and has provided some seed funding for SOHOWireless.

Vision

The vision of SOHO Wireless is to help popularize and proliferate the use of inexpensive 802.11 standardized radios so as to establish a "Fabric" of radio access to the Internet at all hot zone locations where there are high concentrations of users. In order to expand SOHO wireless coverage rapidly and without requiring a lot of additional capital, the Company plans to distribute its client Linux access control software for free as part of the Linux distribution "open source code". Essentially with the projected shipments of about 10 million 802.11 devices by the end of this year alone, as reported by the Cahners In-stat group's marketing report on WLANs, we believe that at least 1% of them could be open to public access, if the value proposition is simple and cost effective.
